Europe 1994  After our first year of university, my residence roommate, Colleen, and I decided that there was no other way to spend 3 months of the summer then travelling around Europe. Indeed we were correct! We bid our teary parents goodbye and jetted off to Paris where Colleen had several friends from a year of study she once spent there. We stayed in this vibrant city for a couple of weeks before journeying, with Eurail pass in hand, through Belgium, Holland, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Germany, Austria, Italy, Monaco, Southern France, Spain and Switzerland. We then TGV'd to the northern French coast and cruised into England where we visited my relatives and did a volunteer work week with the National Trust, digging ditches and building deadhedge fencing on the grounds of a fancy old castle.
