The Caribbean and South America's northern coast  I visited the Caribbean with my family several times in my childhood. These trips were relatively resorty and luxurious in nature. My fondest memories include swimming in the turquoise pools, suntanning on the beach, eating juicy ripe pineapples, memorizing the days of the week in Spanish, getting to eat our favourite sugary cereals, watching my mum bargain for souvenirs and t-shirts in local markets and throwing questionable ice cubes out of restaurant windows. Photos posted include those from a trip to Cartagena, Colombia in 1988, a cruise with my parents to Grenada, Trinidad, Venezuela, Aruba, Bonaire, Curacao (of famous liquer repute) and Dominican Republic in 1994, to Antigua in January 2006 for my friend's wedding, and my most recent trip to these parts to Cuba in October 2006 for a work retreat.
